Create sacred space
A sacred site represents a sanctuary where we ritually commune with the Divine, speak with gods and goddesses and interact with the Sacred in elemental form as fire, trees, wind, and all Earth beings. When we move into sacred space we invoke the presence of those hidden aspects of our selves that need tending in a ritual setting. In this way, sacred space serves as an alchemical container in which authentic self-transformation is possible for a willing soul. Here, the physical and the spiritual conjoin; and the two worlds interface in precious unguarded moments that permit Divinely-sourced infusions of grace-filled certainties where an inner knowledge that lies beyond reason is revealed and informs necessary life changes.
I channel, invoke, infuse, and embed the therapeutic-healing environment in which I am working with psycho-physical energies such as symbolic objects (altars), ritual activities, spiritual allies, songs and dances, herbs and other foods for gods, goddesses and other forms of spirit beings that come to assist, guide, teach and protect myself and my clients during the work.
I work with individuals or with a small human community in this way, and, if we are in a natural environment, my helpers are a nonhuman community of beings that cannot be counted; fire, trees, rocks, herbs, and honey, all creatures great and small, unseen, but entirely felt and experienced entities, the spoken word, and songs.
