Simple discipline
Create your January Altar placing appropriate and significant ritual objects on it to include carnations and garnets. Every morning greet Earth as a manifest form of the Sacred with the affirmation above. You might want to chant it like a mantra until you feel your heart open to the Sacred Embrace. Each day read about Janus and his powerful attributes. In a quiet meditation, identify how you may or should express those same attributes within yourself. As you think about your Self and your life this month bring these attributes to bear on your vision of how you see the beginning of your year; how you are honoring your own past, where the peacemaking needs to happen, and how you are going to move across the threshold of your present and into your future.
