March’s Flower

Daffodil

The glorious golden daffodil was spread all over the ancient Celtic world by the Romans. In the language of flowers, daffodils symbolize chivalry, respect, modesty, faithfulness, love and joy. They are symbols of rebirth – a sign of the new beginnings that come with onrush of spring. Daffodils are divine gifts of fragile beauty and are said to bring great joy to the spirits and the deities whose sacred lands they adorn with their presence and with whom they are in constant contact. These golden beauties bring great blessings and good fortune to those persons who understand this and carefully avoid damaging them and who may even go out of their way to protect them. The song of the daffodils says, “The sun is always shining when I’m with you.”
